Adam grew up in Hawke’s Bay and completed his joinery apprenticeship with a large local joinery shop. At 21, he left New Zealand to explore opportunities working in Australia. In the four years he spent in Australia, he worked his way up from Junior Joiner to Foreman. At 25, he moved to the UK, where he worked for a joinery shop, both on-site and in a joinery factory.

Upon his return to New Zealand in 2010, Adam completed his building apprenticeship in Wellington. In 2014 Adam started working for sister company Next Level Construct before founding Next Level Joinery with Brendon in 2017.

Adam is passionate about timber joinery and the construction industry as a whole. A builder himself, Adam understands the requirements of his clients. He ensures the delivery of high-quality service to all clients as well as building a team of passionate Joiners.

In his spare time, Adam enjoys travelling around New Zealand with his wife Callie, working out and enjoying time with friends.

Fun fact: Adam spent a year working in France building the Enchante, a luxury hotel barge.

Brendon grew up playing rugby in Feilding. In 2003, he was given the opportunity to travel to the UK to play rugby. In 2004, he travelled to the US, also to play rugby. It was while working as a construction labourer to help fund his travels that Brendon found his passion for the construction industry.

Upon his return to New Zealand, Brendon began working as an Apprentice Builder, however, he had caught the travel bug, so travelled back to the UK where he started a loft conversion company. He learnt a lot from this experience, like how to work to a tight budget and think creatively to maximise client’s spaces.

After meeting his Australian wife Karen in the UK, in 2009 they decided to compromise on location and settled in Auckland. In 2010, Brendon and Karen founded sister company Next Level Construct, and in 2017 Brendon and Adam co-founded Next Level Joinery.

Brendon is a big believer in providing a great service and quality product, and believes that communication is the key to an efficient and effective build process and job well done.

Outside of work Brendon enjoys travelling to new destinations and spending time with his wife and four children Indie, Kaise, Lena and Stevie.

Fun fact: Brendon completed a loft conversion for an Arabian Sheik on his £4 million mansion where he worked with gold, marble and oak.
